The Statue of Unity is a colossal statue of Indian statesman and independence activist, Iron Man of India, Honorable Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who was the first Home minister of independent India and the chief adherent of Mahatma Gandhi during the non-violent Indian Independence movement. Government of Gujarat has built this world's tallest statue with a height of 182 metres. It is located on a river island facing the Sardar Sarovar Dam on river Narmada in Kevadiya colony. The statue is dedicated to the nation on 31st October 2018 by Honourable Prime Minister of India Shri Narendrabhai Modi. This site attracts significant tourist footfalls from across the world. During last one year about 25 lakhs tourist have visited Statue of Unity (SoU).
CIEL HR Services Pvt. Ltd. (CIEL) is one of the premiers Human Resource Management Company providing HR Services to various clients in India and abroad. On behalf of Statue of Unity (SoU) administration, CIEL is in need of five energetic, young and enthusiastic Tourism Officers who can work as a one point contact for all tourism related activities for the requirement of national, international and VIP tourists visiting Statue of Unity, Kevadia, Gujarat (SoU).
JobDescriptions:
- To visualize, plan, organize, execute and monitor tourism services expected by the national, international and VIP tourists, looking to the present and expected footfall at SoU under the guidance of SoU Authorities.
- To name a few, Tourism Services may cover the following activities:
- Travel Booking: Air, Rail, Road, Package.
- Travel : Hire a vehicle
- Stay at Hotel/ Tent City/ Guest House/ Circuit House
- Suggest Tour Packages
- Ticket Booking: SoU / Gallery/ Dam/ Boating/ Helicopter etc.
- Guide Booking
- Food Court
- Souvenir Shop
- Support to specially challenged visitors
- Protocol service for VIP
- Security for VIP
- Conference and Event Management Support
- To provide service as per the timings and days decided by the appropriate authority.
- To accompany VIPs with appropriate decorum and protocol.
- To maintain discipline and please tourists with good behavior & providing authentic information.
- Coordination between SVPRET, TCGL, SSNNL, Forest Department and other organisations/ agencies working for SoU.
Qualification, Experience & Skill Requirements:
- The candidate should have -
- The candidate should have minimum three years of relevant experience either in hospitality, hotel management, travels, tourism etc.
- The candidate having completed his/her schooling, graduation and post-graduation in English Medium may be preferred.
- The candidate should have pleasant personality.
- The candidate should have excellent communication skills in English (both written & verbal), interpersonal skills and multi-tasking abilities.
- The candidate should be capable of handling queries successfully, and should be flexible to work as per the programme requirements.
- The candidate should have information gathering skills, understanding of basic office administrative processes, technology literacy, particularly internet and social media.
- The candidate should have excellent common sense, communication skill and positive aptitude.
- a post graduate full time degree in Travels & Tourism from the recognized university OR
- a post graduate full time degree in Hospitality & Hotel Management from the recognized university OR
- a post graduate full time degree in Business Administration from the recognized university OR
- a post graduate full time degree in any discipline with Post Graduate Diploma in Travels & Tourism or Hospitality & Hotel Management of minimum one year duration from the recognized university.
Age: Max. 40 years as on the last date of application.
Salary & Allowances: Selected candidate will be offered a fixed term appointment initially for a period of one year on a consolidated monthly salary of Rs.40000 on CTC mode. The contract may be extended further as per the mutual convenience.
TERMS&CONDITIONS:
- Merefulfillingtheminimumrequirementof qualification and experience will not vest any right on the candidates to be called for the test/interview.
- The eligible candidates will be called to appear for the test and personal interview at Ahmedabad or Gandhinagar or Vadodara or Rajpipala at their own expense.
- CIEL will conduct written test in English (especially covering English language and other abilities), if required, to further short list eligible candidates for the purpose of shortlisting candidates for the personal interview.
- CIEL also reserves right to shortlistthecandidatesbyfixingrevisedeligibilitycriteria.Otherthingsbeingequal,eligiblecandidateswithadditionalrelevant professionalqualification,experienceetc. may begivenpreference.
- The selected candidates will be required to undergo appropriate training as decided and prescribed by CIEL and needs to pass the test during the first 6 months of the contract period. If the performance of the candidate in the test is not found up to the mark then he/she may be asked to leave the job.
- The selected candidates will be required to sign a bond of Rs.25000. If the selected candidate leaves the job at his/her own before expiry of the contract period, he/she will be required to pay Rs.25000 to CIEL.
- The selected candidates will be required to stay at Kevadia or within radius of 30 Kms from SoU at their own expense. SoU administration will try to provide economic accommodation.
- The selected candidates may have to work in shifts.
- The candidates recruited can be transferred to any other client location.
