Role: Senior/Lead Python & Agentic AI Engineer

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Python, PostgreSQL & Agentic AI Engineer with 9–12 years of software development experience to design, develop, and deploy scalable AI-powered applications and intelligent agentic workflows.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Python, PostgreSQL, Generative AI, LLMs, AI Agents, APIs, cloud technologies, and production-grade application development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable applications using Python.
• Build and maintain high-performance PostgreSQL databases, queries, stored procedures, and data models.
• Design and implement Agentic AI solutions using LLMs and AI agent frameworks.
• Develop AI agents capable of planning, reasoning, tool calling, workflow execution, and autonomous task completion.
• Integrate OpenAI/LLM APIs, vector databases, RAG pipelines, embeddings, and knowledge bases.
• Build multi-agent workflows and orchestration systems where required.
• Develop REST APIs and microservices using frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.
• Implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) solutions using enterprise data and documents.
• Integrate AI agents with external systems, APIs, databases, and enterprise applications.
• Optimize prompts, agent workflows, context management, and LLM performance.
• Implement authentication, authorization, logging, monitoring, error handling, and security for AI applications.
• Work closely with product managers, data engineers, software engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Review code and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level developers.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve application reliability and scalability.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and support cloud deployment.

Required Skills

Python

• 7+ years of hands-on Python development.
• Strong knowledge of Python programming, OOP, data structures, and design patterns.
• Experience with FastAPI, Flask, Django, or similar frameworks.
• Experience building REST APIs and microservices.
• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and API integrations.

PostgreSQL

• Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL.
• Advanced SQL queries, joins, CTEs, window functions, and stored procedures.
• Database design, indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience handling large-scale transactional and analytical datasets.

Agentic AI / Generative AI

• Strong understanding of LLMs and Generative AI.
• Hands-on experience building AI Agents and agentic workflows.
• Experience with frameworks/tools such as:
• LangChain
• LangGraph
• AutoGen
• CrewAI
• OpenAI APIs / SDKs
• Experience with function/tool calling and structured outputs.
• Experience building RAG-based applications.
• Knowledge of embeddings, chunking, retrieval, reranking, and vector search.
• Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant, Milvus, or pgvector.
• Understanding of prompt engineering, context management, and LLM evaluation.

Cloud & DevOps

• Experience with at least one cloud platform:
• AWS
• Microsoft Azure
• Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab/Azure DevOps.
• Understanding of application monitoring, logging, and observability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing enterprise-grade AI applications.
• Experience integrating AI agents with Microsoft 365, Salesforce, ServiceNow, SAP, or other enterprise platforms.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Service Bus.
• Knowledge of AI security, data privacy, responsible AI, and LLM security.
• Experience with model evaluation, hallucination reduction, guardrails, and AI observability.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience leading technical discussions and mentoring engineers.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

9–12 years of overall software development experience, with strong recent hands-on experience in:

Python + PostgreSQL + Generative AI / Agentic AI
