Forward Deployed Software / AI Engineer (FDSE / FDAE) – Senior (8+ Years Experience)

As a Senior FDSE / FDAE, you’ll lead at the crossroads of engineering, product, and GenAI transformation. With ~8 years of experience, you’ll architect AI-native platforms, mentor teams, and work directly with executives to define technical strategy. You’ll not only deliver solutions — you’ll shape how GenAI creates lasting impact at enterprise scale.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead technical discovery with senior stakeholders, reframing business problems into technical roadmaps.

- Architect and deploy enterprise-grade GenAI systems: multi-agent orchestration, scalable RAG architectures, vector databases, fine-tuning pipelines, and LLMOps.

- Define release and QA strategies for AI-driven deployments.

- Mentor FDSEs/FDAEs and establish engineering best practices.

- Act as a product partner: define MVPs, prioritize roadmaps, and drive adoption metrics.

Required Skills & Experience

- Engineering Leadership: 8+ years designing, building, and scaling distributed systems.

- GenAI (Mandatory): Deep hands-on expertise with LLMs, orchestration frameworks (LangChain, DSPy, Semantic Kernel), embeddings, vector DBs (Pinecone, Milvus, Weaviate), and AI observability.

- Cloud Architecture: Advanced proficiency in AWS, Azure, or GCP; Kubernetes; service mesh; IaC (Terraform, Helm); GitOps pipelines.

- Product Ownership: Ability to scope MVPs, balance trade-offs, and align engineering to business outcomes.

- Stakeholder Leadership: Proven ability to engage executives, influence strategy, and deliver in mission-critical environments.

Desired Skills

- Experience designing LLMOps pipelines (evaluation, monitoring, rollback for GenAI models).

- Multi-cloud or hybrid deployment architecture expertise.

- Background in release engineering: progressive delivery, chaos testing, secure rollouts.

- Prior leadership in regulated/high-compliance industries.

- Ability to set product vision while maintaining engineering depth.
