About the Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join the Connectivity Frameworks team. You will work on the OS framework components that enable seamless messaging, calling, and notification experiences between wearables and companion mobile devices.

Responsibilities

● Design, develop, and maintain Bluetooth profile implementations and frameworks for HFP (Hands-Free Profile), MAP (Message Access Profile), PBAP (Phone Book Access Profile), and ANCS (Apple Notification Center Service)

● Build and optimize clean application interfaces for Bluetooth profiles used by wearable applications.

● Contribute to calling features via HFP and cellular integration (VoLTE/VoNR), including carrier requirements (911, emergency texting)

● Develop and enhance messaging and notification support, including internet relay for notifications

● Improve logging, telemetry, and tooling for field debuggability

● Write robust, well-tested code with strong E2E test coverage and CI integration.

● Participate in on-call rotations and triage production issues.

Minimum Qualifications

● Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field

● 5+ years of experience in embedded systems or mobile software development

● Experience with Bluetooth stack and frameworks on Android or iOS

● Understanding of Bluetooth protocols and profiles (HFP, A2DP, AVRCP, MAP, PBAP, GATT, etc.)

● Proficiency in C/C++, Java, Kotlin.

● Experience with Android or iOS Frameworks.
