Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of custom material handling systems, fixturing, and associated processes to support handling, assembly/disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies throughout the product lifecycle.
  2. Establish standards across all operational processes and act as a technical expert for specialized projects or programs.
  3. Lead and technically execute engineering projects in collaboration with AMAT’s approved suppliers.
  4. Interface with internal and external customers to address mechanical engineering issues related to specific projects.
  5. Develop and implement concepts for resolving complex product challenges and improvements.
  6. Specify, supervise, and review the development, design, or modification of engineering layouts, schematics, detailed drawings, and specifications of complex scope.
  7. Prepare product and test specifications.
  8. Define and create requirements for material handling units, including architecture, concepts, and validation plans.
  9. Perform and specify engineering calculations and analyses of complex scope, including custom part design and OEM component selection.
  10. Review and maintain engineering documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Required Skills & Expertise:

  • Strong knowledge of material selection for metals and non-metals, machining, fabrication, sheet metal, and post-processing operations.
  • Proficiency in various manufacturing methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience in assembly building and troubleshooting form, fit, and function issues.
  • In-depth understanding of GD&T; knowledge of tolerance stack-up analysis is an added advantage.
  • Proficient with ISO & ASME standards; understanding of DIN standards is a plus.
  • Expertise in UG NX or Pro-E/Creo is mandatory.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
