Job Description :
1. Architecture & Design Skills
- Enterprise Architecture (TOGAF or equivalent understanding)
- Solution Architecture & High-Level Design (HLD/LLD)
- Experience preparing Architecture KDD Documentation
- Ability to define As-Is and To-Be architectures
- Strong capability in architectural evaluation, scoring, and decision frameworks
- Ability to define and document NFRs (Performance, Scalability, Availability, Security, Compliance)
- Proficiency in architecture testing strategies and validation
2. Cloud Architecture (Azure Focus)
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure services, including:
- Azure Compute (VMs, AKS, App Services)
- Azure Networking (VNets, ExpressRoute, Load Balancers, VPN)
- Azure Storage, Databases, and Data Services
- Azure Monitoring & Logging
- Azure Active Directory and Identity services
- Azure Resource Deployment (ARM/Bicep/Terraform)
- Designing scalable, secure architectures in cloud environments
- Experience deploying solution components into Azure
3. High-Performance Computing (HPC) Skills
- Knowledge of HPC architectures, clusters, workload orchestration
- Integration of on-prem HPC to Azure
- Familiarity with tools like:
- Azure CycleCloud
- Azure Batch
- HPC Pack
- Understanding of networking requirements for HPC workloads
4. Testing & Validation Skills
- Ability to create detailed architecture test plans
- Execution of test scenarios for evaluating multiple vendors/solutions
- Benchmarking, performance testing, and validation
5. Technical & Development Skills
- Strong experience with one or more programming/scripting languages:
- Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar
- Familiarity with DevOps tools:
- Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines
- Containerization understanding (Docker, Kubernetes)
6. Documentation & Diagramming
- Expertise in creating:
- HLD/LLD diagrams
- End-to-end architecture diagrams
- Deployment diagrams and integration maps
- Tools: Visio, Draw.io, Lucidchart, or similar
7. Consulting, Analysis & Leadership Skills
- Strong stakeholder communication skills (UK business hours collaboration)
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture
- Vendor evaluation and recommendation capability
- Decision-making and problem-solving mindset
- Cross-functional leadership across engineering, testing, cloud, and operations
