Roles & Responsibilities: -
- Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for migrating workloads from Azure Synapse to Databricks.
- Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and stakeholders to define migration workflows, data transformation logic, and technical specifications.
- Support the design and validation of data models, ETL/ELT pipelines, and integration processes.
- Conduct detailed data analysis and validation using SQL to ensure accuracy and quality of migrated datasets.
- Create user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional documentation.
- Coordinate between business and technical teams to ensure alignment on requirements, scope, and delivery timelines.
- Assist in testing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues throughout the migration lifecycle.
- Track project progress, identify risks, and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
Skills & Requirements:-
- 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Technical BA in data-driven environments.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse and Databricks in analytics or migration contexts.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for complex queries, data analysis, and validation.
- Solid background in data modeling, metadata management, and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with cloud migration projects, preferably on Azure.
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, cross-functional, and agile environments.
