operating in multiple countries. Our client is looking to recruit following category

of personnel for their project  operation in Sao Tome, Africa.

Heavy Machine Operator – Marine Port Operations| Real Estate Projects (West Africa)

Employment Type: Full-Time

This development will include construction of a Port, Dry Dock, and a Real Estate in West Coast Africa. This opportunity is ideal for an expereinced heavy machine operator holding experience with operating cranes, JCB and likewise equiment or heavy transportation. Problem-solving and attention to detail are also must-have skills for you, so that you can adapt to different weather conditions and settings.

Key Roles

§ Operating the machinery/ vehicle for mobilising materials at construction/ port site

§ Conducting equipment inspections and upkeep of equipment

§ Following safety protocols

§ Keeping maintenance logs

Requirements:

§ Proven experience as a Crane Operator in marine port operations or a related field.

§ Machinery operation for excavators, hydraulic rock breaker, backhoe, cranes, forklift

§ 4+ years of experience, with knowledge of breakdown, repair, and routine maintenance

§ Ability to speak, read, and write English and Hindi fluently. Portuguese language is a bonus

§ Strong understanding of operational safety and health regulations in a marine port context

§ Must possess the relevant certifications and licenses for crane operation.

§ Willingness to work in various locations across West Africa.

§ Demonstrable commitment to a zero-alcohol policy at work.

§ High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in engineering or logistics is a plus.

Job Responsibilities

§ Operate various types of cranes for loading and unloading cargo at the port.

§ Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks on equipment.

§ Adhere to safety protocols and company policies, including a zero-tolerance alcohol policy.

§ Communicate effectively with the operations team to ensure timely and efficient cargo handling.

§ Participate in safety drills and training sessions.

§ Accurately complete operational documentation and reports.
