Job Title: Oracle Hyperion Essbase Administrator

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Hyperion Essbase Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the Hyperion Essbase environment, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and scalability. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to support business processes, troubleshoot issues, and deliver efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Essbase Administration:

• Manage and administer Oracle Hyperion Essbase applications, including installation, configuration, and upgrades.
• Monitor system performance and ensure availability, reliability, and scalability of Essbase applications.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as backups, patching, and system tuning.

1. Development and Optimization:

• Design, develop, and optimize Essbase cubes to support business reporting and analytics needs.
• Implement calculation scripts, MDX queries, and reporting solutions tailored to business requirements.

1. Support and Troubleshooting:

• Provide Level 2/3 support for resolving application and performance-related issues.
• Troubleshoot system errors and data inconsistencies and implement effective solutions.

1. Collaboration and Integration:

• Work closely with business users to understand requirements and deliver scalable Essbase solutions.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of Essbase with other systems.

1. Documentation and Compliance:

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security and audit policies.

Professional & Technical Skills:

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong experience in Oracle Hyperion Essbase Administration (on-premises or cloud-based).
• Proficiency in designing and optimizing Essbase cubes, including ASO and BSO models.
• Expertise in developing and troubleshooting calculation scripts and MDX queries.
• Solid understanding of system monitoring, performance tuning, and backup strategies.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Familiarity with Hyperion Planning and integration with Essbase.
• Experience with automation tools like MaxL and batch scripting.
• Knowledge of Oracle database and SQL.
• Understanding of financial and business reporting processes.
